Yurok Specific:

The Deadline to Return Your Ballot for the Primary Election is October 11th, 2023. This date is four days after the Yurok Annual Membership Meeting in Klamath, YIR.


  • Methods of Voting - YTC Title III, Sec. 3.25.010 
    • Two methods of voting may be used for elections:
      • (a) Voting by dropping ballots off at drop box locations; and
      • (b) Voting by returning ballots via U.S. Postal Service. [Ord. 76 § 4401, amended, 6/23/2022; Ord. 56 § 4401, amended, 5/9/2019; Ord. 42 § 4401, adopted, 3/4/2015.]

  • Yurok Specific: Reissuing Ballots - YTC Title III, Sec.  3.25.080 
    •  "By Mail. Requests for reissued ballots by mail shall be received not less than 14 business days before election day to allow sufficient time for ballots to be mailed to the voter and returned by the date of election."
    • "By Visiting Tribal Offices. Ballots may be requested by visiting the main Tribal office in Klamath no later than 5:00 p.m. election day and must be returned by mail or at a drop box by 5:00 p.m. on election day to be counted on the date of the election. All requests must be made in writing by the eligible voter. Ballots will not be issued after the designated date.
